Brian has 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry successfully leading both discovery and development teams responsible for advancing five compounds from Lead Development through Phase II clinical studies. He served as Discovery representative on the Pfizer Global Development Team responsible for the early development portfolio of treatments for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases including hypertension,
nephropathy, heart failure and diabetes, as well as Pharmacology advisor to the Global Review Committee responsible for critiquing all compounds entering pre-clinical development and CVMED In-Licensing opportunities at Pfizer. Dr. Bond currently serves as pharmacology specialist to the NIH Cardiovascular SBIR Scientific Review panel. Dr. Bond received a B.S. in Biology at Baylor University and a Ph.D. in Physiology from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Ying Yu, MS, MD
Vice President and CSO

Ying has over 15 years of experience in cardiovascular, metabolic and chronic kidney disease research, drug discovery and development. During her 12-year career with Pfizer R&D, she served as the pharmacology leader of multiple pre-clinical project teams, generating IND-enabling pharmacology data packages and corresponding documentation responsible for the advancement of multiple quality lead drug candidates into clinical trials. She has in-depth knowledge of translational pharmacology and extensive experience in design and execution of pre-clinical pharmacology studies and data analysis and interpretation. Dr. Yu received an M.D. from Anhui Medical University, China, and a M.S. in Physiology from University of North Texas Health Science Center.

Heather Faulkner, MS
Research Scientist

Heather has 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a GLP toxicology/safety pharmacologist and R&D scientist. She has developed and conducted animal models in oncology, pain management, metabolic disease, nephrology and cardiology as well as cardiovascular safety pharmacology. She also has surgical experience in rat cannulation and nephrectomy. Heather received a B.S. in Biology at Rutgers University and a M.S. in Animal Biology from East Stroudsburg University.

Jim Nuckolls, BS
Research Scientist

Jim has over 20 years of experience in in vivo pharmacology. He has worked with numerous species and is proficient with multiple technical procedures. Jim has conducted a range of disease models and is particularly skilled in rodent surgical procedures. He is AALAS LATG certified and is an Academy of Surgical Research: Surgical Research Technician (SRT).

Dean McGraw, BS
Cardiovascular Pharmacologist

Dean has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry successfully developing, validating and conducting preclinical animal models of pharmacology and disease that have supported the advancement of several compounds into clinical development. He has conducted numerous surgical models of cardiovascular disease including radiotelemetry, vascular cannulations, ischemia and renal function. Dean has a B.S. in Animal Science from Iowa State University.

Alan MacInnes, BSc (Hons)
Pharmacology and Business Development

Alan has 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a research and development scientist and project team leader with Pfizer, responsible for advancing projects across the drug development continuum from new drug target validation to human Phase II clinical proof of concept in the cardiovascular, metabolic, endocrine and inflammatory disease areas. Mr. MacInnes also led prominent collaborations with leading academic medical centers such as Harvard Medical School and Washington University Medical School and conducted due diligence reviews for potential product licensing and strategic alliance opportunities. Alan received a B.Sc. (Hons.) from the Sunderland University School of Pharmacy, United Kingdom.
